The Medulla or Garlichead Nebula, resp. LBN576 or CTB1, is, again, a supernova remnant, named G116.9+00.1.

In contrast to the other supernova remnants shown here, this one fits nicely into one frame even with a focal length of about 1000mm. One reason is, that it is much younger and therefore had less time to expand. Secondly it is much more distant to us.

Studies exploring this object determine its age between 10,000 and 16,700 years and a distance between 6.500 and 14.000 lightyears.

It was first discovered in 1960 during a galactic radio survey at 960MHz. To capture a proper image of this faint object, a decent integration time is required.
